What does life as a woman or girl look like in your country/city/town/village? Any issues/challenges/milestones?
Well, in Morocco, the situation lately has gotten better but we still need more efforts. In general, inequality / harassment / the macho culture are the main problems here, but I'm so proud to see a lot of women who reached great things out of these challenges. I think Morocco's new generation of women are the real representation of 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger'.
What would you like the world to know about YOU? What life experience, challenge or achievement do you want to share?
I personally haven't really had huge changes in my society ''yet'' - haha! But I would say that I'm trying to change the typical 'perfect daughter /girl' meaning in our culture. I mean by that: a daughter that studies 'yes', but dreams of a career that doesn't include a man. Maybe [education/career] is not her priority because marriage is the priority, or a girl who is Muslim and has to wear a certain type of clothes so she could be protected and well-behaved (while a piece of clothing may hide a lot)...
What are you most passionate about and what are you doing with that passion?
I like a lot of things. History and astronomy interest me even though I'm a business student. I also like fashion design and sports especially gymnastics.
How have the women and girls around you helped you to get to where you are today?
My mother helped in a different way haha!... She made me what she wanted to be but couldn't: she made me independent, she always tells me that women are not equal to men because they are better haha! She believes in superiority... My friends also support me all the time. I'm blessed to have them in my life.
