What does life as a woman or girl look like in your country/city/town/village? Any issues/challenges/milestones?
We are looked at as objects. We are expected to just survive in certain circumstances just because we are women. The most annoying of all is the whistling when we pass by men as though we are dogs. This kind of disrespect is what I cannot take anymore as a woman.
What would you like the world to know about YOU? What life experience, challenge or achievement do you want to share?
When I “failed” my final high school exams, I felt like the ground should just swallow me up, but many people use the times they have failed to encourage them to become better and that’s why I look forward to joining university because I know I’ll do better.
What are you most passionate about and what are you doing with that passion?
I am passionate about cooking and whenever I see new dishes on the internet, I do my best to try and cook them for my family.
How have the women and girls around you helped you to get to where you are today?
To me, the feminists are the people that constantly remind me that as a woman, I can do anything and be whoever I want to be. My being a woman shouldn’t stop me from getting privileges I would like to have but I cannot have.
Complete this sentence: "To be a girl or woman today, is to be..."
constantly reminded that you’re beautiful and no one can take away your power unless you allow them to.
