What does life as a woman or girl look like in your country / city / town / village? Any issues / challenges / exciting milestones? In my country, people believe there are certain jobs that are too complex for women such as web development, graphic design and tech related jobs. They believe women should be reduced to selling in the market only.
What would you like the world to know about YOU? What life experience, challenge or achievement do you want to share? What obstacles have you faced and overcome? Personally, I'm a graphic designer. I've been trying to work on a print to train a few girls on graphic design and other related tech skills but everyone seems to be unsupportive.
If you are an entrepreneur, tell us all about your business and how you got started. I just graduated from college and I decided to become a graphic designer. I asked my father to help me get someone to learn from. He refused and said it was a masculine thing. I had to struggle to learn on my own via the internet. Getting clients hasn't been so easy too, as many believe I won't do a good job compared to a man.
What are you most passionate about and what are you doing with that passion? I'm very passionate about helping women to find their self-worth and to take pride in whatever they want to be. I've been trying to do that by organizing skill acquisition programs, conferences and seminars, etc
What's your definition of success? Success is being great at what you do.
How have the women and girls around you helped you to get to where you are today? I have organised a conference both online and physical. I volunteer with several other organizations too.
Looking externally into the public sphere, what female public figure inspires you the most to achieve your dreams? Several of them. Linda Ikeji. Michelle Obama, and so many others
Describe yourself in one word: "I am... bold!
Complete this sentence: "To be a girl or woman today, is to be..." Bold, determined. It is to know what you want and to do what you have to do to get it.
