What is your cause/area of focus? Women Empowerment
What are you fighting for? Tell us all about your cause/area of focus. Why do you think it is so important?
We empower young women by teaching them fashion & design, entrepreneurship and give them free access to family planning so they can earn their own income and become (financially) independent women who can take care of their kids.
What's your background? How did you become involved in your cause? What inspired you to begin living for change?
I did several projects for NGOs where I started believing in self-sustaining projects. When I was in Ghana for an internship, I saw the many girls with few chances and the many opportunities available in Ghana.
What have you been doing to spread the word and/or to help your cause so far? I started TUMI Ghana Foundation & TUMI Hostel in Kumasi.
How and when will you judge success? What’s your endpoint?
The first project is already successful, we are now planning the next project which is focused on job creation.
